I just want to add a quick note as to Hunter'ing...

IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, DO NOT ATTACK WITH YOUR MELEE WEAPONS.

I've seen too many young, and old hunters do this. Melee attacks as a hunter severely gimp your dps. If you want to dual-wield or smack someone around with Melee pick another class.

As a hunter, you want to stay as far away from your target as possible. This is where you belong, don't try to be a rogue just because you can dual-wield and have Mongoose Strike. The only Melee you should be using is Wing Clip, which is used to slow down an advancing enemy. Other than that, just don't.

LOL I agree. It use to be that Survivalist Hunters were able to do more dps in melee then with there ranged weapon. It was in essence there little surprise when PvP'ing. Kind of like " Ha!! I'm in the hunters face? Now to hamstring and..... hey why isn't this dude running away? Wow I'm gonna destroy this noob!... wait.... why the hell is he kicking my ass?!?!" type thing lol. But even a survivalist knew that in instancing your job was to be ranged dps. I like you though have seen an alarming amount of hunters who run up into mobs with there melee weapons. I've asked why too and about the only responce I've gotten was "I'm trying to increase my weapon skill". Which in my opinion? An instance is the absolute worst place to do that. Your there to put out a constant steady amount of high dps..... and if your trying to up a weapon skill your more then likely only seeing " Miss miss miss miss" roll up above the mobs head and thus are useless to the group.

There are strong opinions amoung some hunters that they can honestly do as much damage with there melee weapons. I have never found that to be the case with my hunter and I've tried a fair amount of builds. BM, Marksman and a few other highbreads. I think it can fool alot of hunters when they hit with ranged and get between 500 - 800 amd then hit with melee and hit about the same. And just dont seem to calculate that there melee is still less dps. They just dont have dps meter addons I guess lol. Plus they fail to understand that now that they are melee'ing the monster they are getting hit and not the tank. Thus making the Healer start to pull out his hair and start yelling at his monitor " Why the hell doesn't he feign death or hamstring and get the hell away from it or do a number of other things to stop getting hit!!!!" lol

There really is a large amount of hunters that do some really dumb stuff in instancing and thus has gained us the nickname as a whole of being "Huntards". On the other hand I've met some hunters that make me feeel like a huntard. Some really amazing hunters out there. So dont loose hope Smile

Every Main I Have Ever Had Past Lv 15 Was A Hunter.....I 99% Agree.....Melee is ONLY Useful for hunters 50% of the time if your fighting a Lock....(Locks Are Great Just I Have Always Had most Sucess With Melee Against Them)

I Also Noticed MELEE is Great in WSG when ur team is running the flag back and ur in midfield.....u Most likely Will Die but you can easily distract others and help ur team score!!!!!! I Had Lots Of Sucess with this in the 19 BG's...Not sure how it works when ur not fighting noobs!! XD
