Yeah, if you want to have fun with your guy, keep him shadow. Holy is only fun if you enjoy healbotting, and you're in a group, be it PVP or PVE. That being said, caster's don't exactly make the best twink characters, esp Priests, who really hit their stride around 39 when they get shadowform. Before that, it's the same old priest, but with Mind Flay.
